Hi everyone, it’s Willow here. Wow, it’s December again and everyone in the herd is so excited. So many people are going to come and visit and say hello to us all, we’ll be the star attraction again!

It’s been a very quiet year since you visited us last, it’s very sad when Christmas ends and Cotley Christmas Farm finishes. We don’t get to see all of you lovely people. Although it’s very quiet with us throughout the year, on the farm here it’s always very busy. Because I’m only one year old, this is my first year on the farm, and wow hasn’t it been amazing. I’ve seen cows calving, little baby lambs jumping in the field and even a barn dance in the barn! There’s also been silage and hay making and I’ve seen people loading the hay into the barn for the winter, so we can have full tummies this Christmas.

It’s been quite cold for you all recently, but we’re very lucky with our thick winter coats to keep us super warm! We’re inside at the moment for Christmas, but we’ve been living outside in our fields for the rest of the year. Because we’re herd animals, I love being with my friends and family!

As you all get excited for your big Christmas feast on Christmas day, I’m getting excited for all the special lichen from Norway that I’m going to have this Christmas. We get wheat straw and hay and yummy other food throughout the year, but lichen at Christmas is such a treat – it’s like Brussels sprouts for you, eurghh only joking!

It’s so much fun meeting everyone who visits Cotley, everyone looks so happy and merry! I can’t wait to meet everyone this Christmas and get everyone into the festive spirit!

Lots of love and reindeer kisses

Willow
